Cancellation, Rescheduling, Late Arrival & No-Show Policy

Effective Date: June 19th, 2026.

Birthers of Civilization values the time, preparation, and resources dedicated to each client, participant, and community member. This policy helps ensure fairness and accessibility for all.

Consultations & Appointments

Appointments may be rescheduled with at least twenty-four (24) hours notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment may not be eligible for a refund and may be subject to forfeiture of the appointment fee.

Late Arrivals

Clients arriving late may receive a shortened appointment in order to honor other scheduled commitments. If the doula arrives late, which is always possible, she will try her best to accomodate extra time or schedule a follow up session to make sure she isn't disrespecting your time either.

Appointment fees remain unchanged regardless of arrival time.

No-Shows

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment, consultation, training session, or event without prior notice is considered a no-show. No-show appointments are non-refundable and may require a new booking fee to reschedule.

Trainings, Workshops & Events

Registration fees and deposits for trainings, workshops, retreats, and educational programs are generally non-refundable. At the discretion of Birthers of Civilization, participants who are unable to attend may be offered a transfer, future credit, or access to a future session.

Doula Services

Because doula services involve extensive preparation, on-call availability, and reserved client capacity, deposits and fees paid for doula services are generally non-refundable. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis in circumstances involving serious illness, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.

Wedding Officiant Services

Ceremony deposits reserve a specific date and time and are therefore non-refundable. Requests to reschedule are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

Provider Cancellations

If Birthers of Civilization must cancel or reschedule a service, event, training, or appointment, participants may be offered a rescheduled date, credit, transfer, or refund as appropriate.
